2024 Karen Krause Quilt Raffle

Karen Krause of Council Bluffs has created a Block of the Month Quilt (pictured above) for Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center, which we will be raffling off in conjunction with our 2023 annual gala. “Winter in the 70s…I Will Survive” will be held Feb. 11, 2023, at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs.
Karen purchased the pattern from The Country Sampler in Omaha, but selected her own batik hand dyed fabrics. The winner of last year’s Wings of Hope quilt raffle, Lynn Doyle, used to work for Karen at Kanesville Quilting in Council Bluffs. Lynn donated the 2022 quilt to the Lutheran Children’s Camp Fundraiser Auction at Lake Okoboji this past summer, where it raised $805 - it was the quilt that kept on giving!
Tickets for our 2023 quilt raffle are $3 each or 2 for $5. You can buy them online today. The winner will be announced at our “Winter in the Seventies” event Feb. 11.
