Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center will host its 2022 Annual Meeting Monday, Oct. 10. The event begins at 6:30pm at Tish’s Restaurant in Council Bluffs.

Marcus Alt, Ph.D., will present “Coping with Post-Covid Anxiety.” Dr. Alt, assistant professor, Onco-Psychology Service, KUMC Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, has developed a mindfulness-based cancer care program for patients and family members coping with a cancer diagnosis. He currently provides services at the University of Kansas Cancer Center Community Clinic locations. 

The evening also will include the presentation of the 2022 Larry Hill Memorial Awards.

The cost is $25 per person and includes your choice of: 

1) Fried shrimp, roasted baby red potatoes and vegetable

2) 8 oz. sirloin, roasted baby red potatoes and vegetable

3) Stir fried rice with assorted roast vegetables topped with seared chicken breast and tossed in the house ginger/soy sauce.
