Free Music Therapy Series Begins May 4 at Wings of Hope
Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center will kick off its free summer music therapy series Wednesday, May 4, at 11:00am. All sessions will be facilitated Emily Wadhams, a board-certified music therapist and owner of Omaha Music Therapy LLC. No musical experience is necessary. Attend all three or pick and choose from the following:
May 4 at 11am | Drumming
Attend in person or on Zoom
Drumming together is powerful. Participants will use drums, percussion and voice to create an in-the-moment experience to help with physical and emotional goals.
June 1 at 11am | Singing Together
Singing as part of a community has a variety of benefits, no matter the skill level of the participants. It increases breath support, endorphins and even lifespan.
July 6 at 11am | Relaxing through Music and Meditation
Attend in person or on Zoom
Emily will lead participants through a guided imagery session focusing on relaxation in the body. It can help deepen sleep, reduce anxiety, increase quality of life and more.
All sessions will be held at Wings of Hope, 427 E. Kanesville Boulevard, Suite 202. Masks and vaccinations are required. To register, call 712.325.8970 or email carolyn@wingsofhope.org.
