Series on Lymphedema Begins April 18 at Wings of Hope
COUNCIL BLUFFS – Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center will host a trio of informational sessions on lymphedema as a side effect of cancer treatment beginning this April.
Lymphedema is a condition in which extra lymph fluid builds up in tissues and causes swelling. Wendy Buchholz, an occupational therapist/LANA certified lymphedema therapist at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center, will present three informational sessions as part of the 2023 Healing Garden Program Series at Wings of Hope. She has years of professional and practical experience helping cancer survivors who have experienced difficulties after treatment.

The sessions are free and open to patients with all types of cancer, survivors and care partners in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro and throughout southwest Iowa. They will be held in person at 427 E.
