2nd Annual Wine-d Down with Wings Fundraiser June 23

Wine-d Down with Wings, Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center’s summer fundraiser, is set for Friday, June 23, at the Bodega Victoriana Winery and Wedding Barn in Glenwood. The event will run from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Tickets are $35 per person and $60 per couple. They can be purchased online at www.wingsofhope.org/wine-ddown or by phone at 712.325.8970.

The evening will include:

·       Wine and other beverages from the vineyard

·       Wood-fired pizza from Dante’s Inferno – the only authentic Italian VPN-certified wood-fired mobile oven in the Midwest

·       Live music from singer/songwriter Paul Hart

·       An art exhibition by Glenwood artist Emily McQueen, owner of Fine Arts on Fifth in Malvern (she will be donating a percentage of her sales from the evening to Wings of Hope)

·       Wine-themed games

Proceeds from the event will help fund the organization’s companion counseling program, which provides support and caring for those on the cancer journey as they experience pain, accept their new realities, and look for ways to heal and grow. “We create a positive, nonjudgmental space for you to be, and in that space in where healing occurs,” said Carolyn Ettinger, executive director of Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center.

Each ticket holder will receive a commemorative wine glass and two drink tickets. The deadline to register is June 9, 2023.
