June 27 Wine-d Down with Wings Event to Benefit Companion Counseling Program
TREYNOR - Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center will continue celebrating its 30th anniversary year at its 3rd annual summer fundraiser Thursday, June 27. Wine-d Down with Wings 2024 will be held at Prairie Crossing Vineyard & Winery just outside Treynor from 6:00 to 9:00pm.
Proceeds will benefit its Companion Counseling Program, which provides those on the cancer journey with support and caring as they experience pain, accept their new realities and look for ways to heal and grow.
Admission is $40 per person and $65 per couple. Tickets can be purchased online at wingsofhope.org/wine-ddown or by calling 712.325.8970.
The evening will include:
Wine from the vineyard and other beverages (each admission includes 2 drink tickets)
Neapolitan pizza from Dante’s “Inferno” - the only authentic, Italian, VPN-certified, wood-fired mobile pizza oven in the Midwest (included in ticket price)
Cupcakes from Mad Ox Bakery (included in ticket price)
Live music from the Old Man Band (get ready to dance, there is an outdoor “dance floor”)
An infinity jewelry booth from Meadow and Charm (a percentage of proceeds from the evening’s sales will go to Wings)
Wine-themed games
Raffles (bring cash to participate)
Casual attire is welcome, but attendees are encouraged to wear pearls in honor of the organization’s 30th anniversary (they go with anything). The event will be held rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, check www.wingsofhope.org for any announcements.
